/Get moving on a Monday with two extended happy hours and a late night dance party.
STOP 1: FONDA
fonda east village
whola lotta guac
Like the original location in Park Slope, Fonda's East Village venue is a bright, pleasant neighborhood joint serving contemporary Mexican food and well-made margaritas to a young crowd and more than a few first dates.
Fonda also boasts one of the very best happy hours in the city, featuring discounted drinks and a solid menu of botanas, or snacks, each for just $6 and available all night on Monday evenings. The delicious guacamole, presented in a large motar, comes in three spice levels and is served with hand pressed tortillas, chips and salsa. The flautas are also great, with shredded chicken wrapped in two crispy tortillas and topped with green and red salsa, queso fresco and crema.
For drinks, the happy hour menu has the always reliable classic and frozen varieties of margarita, plus sangria, wine and beer, including Negra Modelo on tap.
STOP 2: AGOZAR!
bar at agozar!
Agozar! is a festive Cuban bar and restaurant with an expansive, but generally unmemorable menu of Latin American fare. That's ok, because you're not here for the food, as Agozar's real draw is a buy one, get one happy hour that goes all night long on Mondays. The 2-for-1 special applies to all drinks, so go ahead and mix it up.
STOP 3: THE BOWERY ELECTRIC

Throwback funk, soul, disco, hip-hop and other dance-worthy tracks draw a dedicated fanbase and passionate following of vinyl-loving devotees.
Mobile Mondays is definitely a family affair. The night begins with small groups of young neophytes crowding the bar, but as midnight approaches, a diverse crew of long time enthusiasts and party fixtures arrive to hugs, pounds and pats on the back.
